the trek is crossing the Thorong La Pass (5,416m), the highest point on the
trail, which rewards trekkers with breathtaking panoramic views of Annapurna,
Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and beyond. Along the journey, you’ll pass through
traditional villages inhabited by Gurung, Thakali, and Manangi communities,
experiencing their warm hospitality and unique culture.
The trek also provides
opportunities to explore sacred sites like Muktinath Temple, soak in natural
hot springs at Tatopani, and enjoy the famous apple orchards of Marpha. Each
day on the circuit offers something new – from vibrant rhododendron forests to
stark Himalayan landscapes.

Annapurna Circuit Trek Best Time:
The best seasons are spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November), when the weather is stable, skies are clear, and the mountain views are spectacular.
Difficulty Level:
The Annapurna Circuit
Trek is considered moderate to challenging, suitable for trekkers with good
physical fitness and some prior hiking experience. Proper acclimatization is
essential due to the high altitude.

12 Days Annapurna Circuit Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar – Jagat (1,400m)
Drive to Besisahar, and then continue by jeep to Jagat.
Day 2: Trek from Jagat to Dharapani (1,960m)
Trek through waterfalls, rice terraces, and small
villages.
Day 3: Dharapani to Chame (2,670m)
Trek along pine forests and views of Lamjung Himal.
Day 4: Chame to Upper Pisang (3,300m)
Trek through steep trails, apple orchards, and the Paungda Danda cliff.
Day 5: Upper Pisang to Manang (3,540m)
Two routes: Upper Pisang (better views) or Lower Pisang.
Enjoy views of Annapurna II, III, and IV.
Day 6: Acclimatization Day in Manang
Short hikes to Gangapurna Lake or Ice Lake for
acclimatization. Explore
the village of Manang, its culture, and local monasteries.

Trek gradually uphill with stunning views.
Day 8: Ledar to Thorong High Camp (4,900m)
Trek slowly, as it's a short day to save energy for the pass.
Day 9: Thorong High Camp – Thorong La Pass (5,416m) – Muktinath (3,800m)
The toughest but most rewarding day. Early morning climb to Thorong La Pass with breathtaking
views. Long descent to
Muktinath.
Day 10: Ghasa to Tatopani (1,190m)
Drive
to Tatopani (Natural hot spring) by sharing a jeep. Enjoy natural hot springs at Tatopani.
Day 11: Tatopani to Pokhara (Drive). Enjoy visiting Pokhara
Lakeside and a Celebration dinner at
Lakeside.
Day
12: Pokhara to Kathmandu drive by tourist bus.
